How do i report a closed business or incorrect information on your website?

Data is added by businesses themselves, however, if you do notice something, please contact us and we’ll investigate.

How do i contact a business?

You must be registered and logged in to send a direct message through myblackindex.com. Once logged in go to the listing for the business you want to message. First, check the business has been claimed and verified by myblackindex.com. If verified, locate the “Send Message“ button to directly contact the business.

How do i add a review about a business?

You must be registered and logged in to post a comment. When logged in go to the listing for the business you want to review and locate the “Add Review” button or screw down. You’ll be prompted with a review form to rate and comment.

When you’ve finished, hit the “Post Comment” button.

Your review won’t go live until it has been approved by myblackindex.com

Why do I need to register to post a review?

Registration helps ensure reviews are genuine and allows you to edit or remove your review in the future if needed for any reason.
If you use false information, your review will be removed.

What is the difference between having a “Guest” and “Owner” account?
  • Guest Account: allows you to send private messages to businesses and review listings.
  • Owner Account: allows you to add listings and respond to private messaged from potential customers and manage them. Owners can’t review other listings.

How do i submit my business to Myblacklist.com ?

Step 1. Start at myblackindex.com

Step 2. See if you already have information on your business on MyBlackIndex by first searching for your business in the fields available. If found go to “Claim my business”, if not found proceed to the next step

Step 3. Go back to the homepage and click “Add listing”, located below the search bar

Step 4. Next, you’ll be asked to login or registered. Once logged in your be prompted to fill out a form where you’ll be asked to set up your business profile. Click “submit” once complete.

Step 5. You’ve just submitted your business to myblackindex.com for review! Feel free to edit your Business Hours and more by clicking through to your profile.

I found my business on MyBlackIndex website, how do i claim my business?

Go to the listing for the business you want to claim and locate “Claim this listing”. You’ll be prompted to fill out a form, provide the relevant information to allow us to verify ownership. When you’ve finished, hit the “send” button.

Please note to claim ownership, you must be registered to the website, proving your registered username.

How do I verify my business on MyBlackIndex?

All listing submitted to myblackindex.com, is first reviewed and verified before being published. The verified tick on your listing has been created to provide users with the confidence that your business information is correct.

To enable us to verify your business, we cross-reference data using your business website, If you don’t have a website we can’t cross-check data. If this is the case, please contact us with evidence that each item is correct in the form of:

– A link to the page on your website where we can verify it.

– A link to your Google business profile.

– A link to your business social media accounts.

– Or a link to your details on the Companies House website.
